Why is it having problem when reversing

My car has a problem when reversing. It is a Toyota corolla 2004 year one. It doesn't work properly when i am trying to reverse up hill. Engine get slower when i am trying to do it. So i have to make sure that i am not have to reverse up hill if i am parking. Forward gears not having any issue. what is the cause of that behavior?

have the same pronlem. ive got a mazda 2 2016 mechanics told me the clutch is new but its overheating and reacting that way on a slope...im not 100% convinced. will see next week
