How do I clean out my fan and exhaust grill?

so my toshiba satellite keeps getting hot (Really hot) from a few hours of use

i havent cleaned out my laptop in a few years or so, i found this tutorial wherein i can clean the fan and the heating grill with a brush, but my question is. do i have to reapply thermal paste if i take apart the cooling system?

and if not is there a safer way to do it other than taking apart my entire PC just to remove dust bunnies from the fan and or the exhaust grill?

@maxushero you should not have to routinely change the thermal paste, but if your computer is/has been overheating and you are going to resolve that, I suggest that you replace the thermal paste as well. Get it done ones and get it done right. No shortcuts for the disassembly. Use the guides.

it doesnt overheat at all. im just concerned because it gets Really hot (to the point where i can feel it from the keyboard) i just need to know that if i want to remove dust from the fan and the exhaust grill, do i have to re apply thermal paste? because if i remove the copper heatsink what would happen to the thermal paste that's already in there?

Part of the thermal paste will stick to the heatsink and the processor. So if you wipe it off you will have to replace it. If you leave it alone, you may get away with not changing it. I just feel that if you go through all the effort, then it might be a good thing to replace the paste as well.
