When I play games the R or the L button doesn't work so as a result I can't even play some of my games. Sometimes when I press the A button it doesn't work. when I touch a letter on the touch screen it chooses a different letter.

compression. Your screen is being pulverized by your thumb far too often and same goes for the button mashing dude. If you have any technical experience (the one is rough) then go ahead and depress the springs/plating of the buttons by removing all the hidden screws on the bottom part of the 3DS. While you're at it, get a new digitizer for your bottom screen as that one's trashed. Put it all back together and remember, Pokemon is just a game.
