Nook pages keep flipping forwards and back from desired page

When reading, my Nook automatically flips 2-3 or more pages from my desired page. Tried rebooting and still continues. A box appeared once, stating "reader error".

I know many people with the same problem. Been told that its a software problem. The manufacturer is aware. The best we can do is keep pestering them
