Is it possible to upgrade a low resolution panel in my phone?

I was thinking about this for a long time, is it possible to replace my moto g 2nd gen its 720p lcd to a 1080p screen or even to replace it with a amoled 5inch 720p or even 1080p screen, it also "helps" that i got a crack in my screen yesterday. And im going to replace it anyway, so why not upgrade it??
