Disconnecting Power Connector from Motherboard?
How do I disconnect the power connector from the motherboard which someone suggested as a precaution against static while working on a laptop?

Thank you both for your answers.
Firstly Mr. machead thank you for your time but I had no idea what you meant by "pull the little black cable' attached the silver magsafe connector" I'm that much of a novice. A little black cable could have been on a trolley bus for all I know about computers. I don't know if you ever had the pleasure of riding a tram or trolley but they all used to have a black cable running right along the carriage that was great fun to pull once one of your folks lifted you up to it. Yes that's how far I go back so the world of computers is more than a miracle to me.
Mr. Essen the diagram was good but in the end I only wanted to change the keyboard so I did that taking ur advice about always touching a metal part of the computer when touching any boards or other part. I changed the keyboard with no problem save trying to pick up the minute phillip screws if I dropped them.
Once again thank you both and now you can tell me how I can score you because I haven't the faintest idea.

Glad you got your keyboard replaced. I think the original advice you got was poorly worded about removing the power cord from the motherboard. I think the advice they meant to give was:
Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter before working on the laptop to prevent any potential shorts circuits.
If you like an answer and/or it solves your problem, you can mark it as "accepted".
I don't know if there any trolley questions that need answered on iFixit, but there are 1,000's of questions about 1,000's of other mechanical things, if anyone asks how to stop a trolley, I'll pass the info on.

Pull the little black cable
attached the silver magsafe connector.

If you don't have an anti-static band or work area, always touch a metal part of the computer chassis to ground yourself to it before touching any boards or other parts.
