Paper feed does not work
Paper is loaded but does not feed into print heads even though feed mechanism churns away. Red paper light comes on.

Is the feed roller in good shape? It has a flat side which is usually turned away from you. That flat side wears more. Also, there is a lever behind the sheet feeder that tilts and pushes the stack of paper sheets forward to contact the feed roller. Is the lever doing its job? The feed roller won't touch the paper if the paper isn't lifted from behind.
