My T-Mobile G4 recently bricked itself getting stuck on the LG Life's Good boot screen and eventually getting to a fastboot status screen in the upper corner. Being the proactive genius that I am, I was NOT using the external microSD storage and am wondering if I can use my new replacement device as a surrogate of sorts to get any non-backed up information off of my old phone before I send it back. Thoughts?

If the trouble device doesn't boot past the logo and doesn't let you attach it in adb mode then recovering anything from it is nearly impossible. the next step to get it working would be to try a factory reset and that would defeat the goal you are trying to reach.
