First and foremost, whatever you do, do not try to use the tablet again without first completely drying it out. Remove the battery to prevent any accidental charge from being pulled, then place the rest of the tablet into a bag of rice. Doing this may be able to absorb enough of the water to get your tablet working again, but it would be best to still find another replacement battery. As skimmilk05 said, using the old one, even after waiting for it to dry out, could still pose a safety hazard. Unfortunately, if this doesn't help fix your problem, there is not much else you can do. Ultimately, it may just be time to get another tablet.

Unfortunately, it's probably gone kaput. With non-battery powered devices, you could submerge them, but if you could completely dry the device, it would still theoretically work. However, with battery powered devices, there's a constant charge being applied, so the chance of the logic board short circuiting is very high. You may want to remove the battery (water plus lithium battery equals boom) and dispose of it properly (and no, throwing the thing in the municipal trash does not count as properly. It's illegal worldwide in fact, so take it to a recycling center, and preferably an e-waste recycling center). You may want to get a new device.
