Why does the reload lock switch feel loose and unresponsive?

The reload lock switch feels loose when I press it and doesn't do anything to lock the barrel in place. What can I do to fix it?

The spring from the switch may be damanged or misaligned. Open the Elite Strongarm to inspect the internals by following this guide.
