Uninstall DVD/CD before replacing?
On the Inspiron 530, before I replace the DVD/CD drive, must it be uninstalled on the Device Manager first? Or just remove the old one and install the new one.

userhawk33, you just remove it and replace it. You do not have to do anything to your OS prior to doing that.
