iPad bongs when charging every five seconds.
Just replaced the glass. Reassembled unit. Plugged in charger and iPad bongs every five or six seconds.

Sounds like it's restarting each time as that 'bong' is most likely the noise that is made when the iPad 'reconnects' via the cable. Open the iPad up again and make sure the LCD connection is in place. Also, look for anything the may have been damaged during the process, as a restart is not normal, even if just the LCD were disconnected.
