My GPS screen does not turn on despite green light on

My GPS( Tom Tom Go Live 1005) screen is not turning on despite pressing on the left hand corner switch, which turns on as changes color from orange to green when fully charged?

Is the software corrupt?

Is it repairable at all?

Do let me know earliest, as I am outside the warranty period and will need a new replacement perhaps if this one is not repairable?
