What was stock used for CPU/GPU : thermal pads or paste?

Hello,

I opened my iMac few months ago to repair the graphics card (always that bad old 7300GT) ; a friend of mine fixed it and now I'm mounting everything back. But since it's a long time ago, I can't remember where was the thermal pads and if there was thermal paste on the GPU and the CPU.

I do remember the VRAM use 2 mm thick thermal pads, but for the GPU itself and the CPU, I can't remember if it was thermal pads or thermal paste and I don't want to use the bad one (that's weak enough)...
