Airport connection is poor

I have a poor Airport connection with my Powerbook G4 1,67 GHz.

Other Laptop in the same room have a very good connection, can somebody help me?

These models were notorious for poor wifi reception. I actually ended up buying an external wifi card for the slot just to get a good signal. The only other solution, as I understand it, is having someone hack the internal antenna.

i'm also having problems with week signal i have to be close to the wi fi to get a better signal. maybe a bad internal antenna?

yes i agree that my particular powerbook has horrid wifi reception. might be an issue with the airport card or connection but unfortunately it's a complete tear down to get at it. i bought a hawking wireless usb adapter and it works wonderfully. model hwun3
