Rear camera failed on Nexus 7 2013

I just replaced the motherboard on my Nexus 7 2013 with a motherboard obtained from Ifixit. The device is now working well again after Android 5.X bricked the last motherboard, EXCEPT the rear facing camera is not functioning. The OS doesn't recognize there is a camera installed.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?

Update

Figured it out, so I'll post it so others may benefit.

I did two things to correct this problem.

First, removed the motherboard and checked the ribbon cable attachment from the motherboard to the camera. It was disconnected.

Second, restart the device 4 or 5 times and the rear facing camera came back to life.

All good!

Thanks a lot man. I went through the same situation as you. Installation went as expected but wasn't able to access the rear camera. I didn't even know there was a ribbon cable there until I read your comment and sure enough when I popped open the tablet again there it was. Just connected it and looks like I'm able to access the rear camera. Thanks for taking the time to update your post - really helped me out.
