Hard Drive Won't Mount and I hear a clicking noice
I have an external HD. When I plug it in it doesn't mount and I hear a clicking noise. Has the hard drive died or is it the enclosure?

bookofjob the clicking noise is most likely a failed hard drive. Double check to make sure that it is properly connected inside the enclosure, but most likely it's a bad drive.

How do u fix the bad drive
Basically, its time for a new external drive. WD used a custom drive so you can't replace the drive its self. If you have important data on the drive your only hope here is to send it to a data recovery service which will be expensive! Hopefully you have a backup.
