Mirror lock up is not lit up in menu

I locked the mirror up on my D700 this morning to clean the sensor. When I went back to it a third time the function was not lit up in the menu. I've changed lenses a and nothing I have done so far is working. Any help?

You have to have a fully charged battery for this to work
