Slow to brew and cup is not full.

My Keurig seems to be working fine without a K-Cup inserted. However with a K-Cup inserted, the coffee dribbles out very slowly and I only get 1/2 of a serving. I have to brew another smaller cup into the first one to fill my mug. I cannot find anything that is stopped up.

I just cleaned my Keurig with white vinegar and got the flow of water coming out really well now, but only when there is no K-Cup or if I use the cup that you fill with your own coffee. I checked the little thing that pierces the bottom of the cup and that tube is clear (I was able to blow water through it with no problem). I'm not sure what else to try so that they machine can use the K-Cups... I have tried different K-Cups too and it has the same issue with them all. The water coffee just dribbles out...

I have the same problem as Lyn F. Water flows fine until there is an actual K-Cup in the machine. I tried removing both the "washers" (rubber around the needles) and that didn't help...

Have you tried changing the filter in the reservoir?

さんによる

My solenoid is not turning off the bypass.

Did all the things suggested at least three times no help! So I decided the pump was getting weak so I and bought a new keurig brewer....SAME PROBLEM!!

My wife suggested I buy brand X cups and I did...PROBLEM SOLVED...I think the grind is too fine in the Keurig cups and plugs the small outlet orifice!!

Phillip2, check this guide. Slightly different model, but should be pretty much the same idea on yours.

The bottom needle is easier to access if you pop off the bottom of the K-cup holder. Using a small screwdriver, gently lift one of the 2 legs while pulling the bottom off. Once it's off it is really easy to insert a paperclip into the needle. Turn the holder to that you can view the needle from the top and observe the paperclip poking through. You can blow through the needle from the bottom plastic stem too. That was how I found mine was full of grounds.

@wildfortune absolutely correct. Step 2 in the guide documents this as well.

Thank you SO much! You just saved this broke, desperate for coffee teacher $150! I thought my machine was a gonner but your clean and fix worked like a champ!!

I can't get the top off my Keurig I removed the 2 screws and don't see any others! Help!!! Do I need to remove the handle?

さんによる

if you have an air compressor blow air in the needles, that will clear all the ground coffee that is blocking it, simple be creative.

This seemed to help a LITTLE but I noticed corrosion inside my machine (2 yrs old and I use it to make 2 to 4 cups a day). I just don't think these things are made to last. After all ....we live in a monetary system of cyclical consumption & planned obsolescence. Time to donate to the cause and get a new one, lol.

Agreed. Same problem here. Used it a few times a week, two years in, it starts doing this crap. If I have to disassemble the beast and clean it, they should sell the parts, tools and information to do that. Screw Keurig, I'm going back to a $20 Mr. Coffee.

My keurig brews a full 12 oz cup unloaded, but when I use a K-cup, I get about 8 oz in place of the 12 oz. I cleaned both top and bottom needles with a thick paper clip, I even reamed the bottom needle wit a thin drill bit, I can see through the bottom needle. I cleaned the system with undiluted vinegar, brewing about 6 - 12 oz cups of vinegar. that did not help. I brewed about 10 cups of slightly diluted CLR, unfortunately I still have the problem. Is it time to trash it on get a different brand of single cup coffee makers, or are there any more tricks that I am not aware of?

I was only getting 2 ounces of coffee to come out. I did not have the keurig cleaner, which cleans the top pin. so i found a small oxy salad dressing container made out of silicon, filled it with water and closed the top part of the unit down on it a few times, creating a suction. then i took a very thin sewing needle and worked it into the pin hole, and re-did the suction routine. i noticed coffee grounds in the water. repeated several times and now my kuerig works good as new. i get 8 ounces of coffee in less than a minute.

What is an oxy salad dressing container?

Good instructional, fixed my unit in 10 minutes and the flow is better than ever.

I used a turkey Baster to push water through the filter with the water resevoir on and half full, center the baster over the water outlet and fill the baster and keep pushing water through until machine runs clean, it took me 3 minutes to get mine going again

1. Hold off on the glass of wine

2. I took my trusty tiny hemostat, a surgical needle & a mirror to hold under the kurrig cup holder to locate the hole and moved it up and down

3. The baster worked like a charm got a cup of water and added a little vinegar. Put a clean cup to catch the water. Proceeded to fill the baster and putting my finger over the tip, sprayed it into the plastic Kcup reservoir. Repeat a few times. The stuff that came out was vinegar water and gunk

3. Placed inside a pre- used kcup , closed the lid, hit the right option and a full cup came out fast thru 2 jets. Voila 🤗

4. Thanks to the previous commenter who suggested the baster 👏🏻

Corrosion can be cleaned

All too often it is not corrosion you're seeing but mineral build up. If you run a 50/50 reservoir of vinegar/water once a month it stays clean. Best if you do it from new. It's folly to think anything works flawlessly for 2 years w/o maintenance. While the bottom pin is easy to see and clean, often it is the top needle that clogs. It has a one way check valve but grounds can still get sucked into the first inch or so before the valve.

I found that the top needle needs to be cleaned out about 2 times a year. I use a very fine needle, gently poke around, then run on water only. I find quite a nice collection of grounds in the cup After that, things run fine.

I've been having the same issue as everyone here. Water flows fine without a k-cup. I've run so many keurig decalcification products through it I've lost count. After cleaning, it always seems to work fine for a few coffees then clogs up again. Needle is clear as well as one-way valve. For fun I pinched the overflow tube that leads back into to water reservoir and started a brew with a k-cup. Coffee instantly started to flow properly and I was able to get a full cup 1st try. Another brew without pinching and it's back to dribbling half cups. I've blocked the tube for now and it has been running fine for a few days. At least I know where to look when I have the time to take it apart.
