Optical disk replacement for XBox One

Your guide to replace the optical drive says nothing about swapping the boards in the drives themselves, I am assuming this true. I have used this site many many times to repair stuff and I recommend it to anyone. This issue with the replacement guide puzzles me as to why the optical drive board swap was not mentioned. To the average lay person looking at the guide would see this to be pretty straight forward yet that is not the case. Why is this?
