Last night I downloaded a couple of apps for my device regarding multiple functions. Then when I tried to open these apps to test if they were installed properly the app either shuts out or an error message appears on the screen. At first I assumed the app was just faulty but now I know it's phone related, any tips would be very useful, thanks.

Well usually one the first steps whenever any device has big downloads the device should be restarted, or updated. I would recommend first checking if there are any major updates on the app or the LG thrill itself, if not. Then just restart the device and your apps should run perfectly.
