HTC Desire vibrates 7 times at boot and freezes. Do anybody knows if it's an HW or SW problem?
I manage to access the POWER + VOLUME DOWN boot menu.. I tried to reset to factory settings but nothing changed. I also tried to unlock it via HTC official unlocker: when I get to the confirmation screen, I select yes but nothing happens, just like described here

because the motherboard is damage.
due to overcharge or idk?

Since the phone is not mine, and I'm no android expert, I needed to know if this was a HW damage or a SW damage.
AFAIK, this started after about a year of usage.
One day it just happened (that's what I was told).
So I googled and opened this request because couldn't find a precise answer.
I hope the owner has still his warrantee :)

i have same problem like above, i try to put cwm recovery but cmd said "remote: loading image error". the phone was unlock bootloader , what should i do? anybody know? please tell me

same will try to dissasemble it and clean it
when i get a *!&*^#% torx T5 that is

It happened to me too, after sleeping in the wild near the sea for a week.
I guess it was salt+moisture in the air. Or just moisture and dust that collected in the phone...
Anyway, i took it apart and washed all circuit boards in warm water, take off "shields" (everything except LCD and battery), and then rinsed with isopropanol (distilled water would be better, and pure ethanol is better, but had none), and it works again ;-)
It is really old and worth about zero by now, so i experimented ;-)

Hi, . I've got the same Problem but this happened to the Second Smart phone I ever had, . ? My first ever Smart phone was a HTC Desire S, BEATS, . An the Sec Phone I had that did this Same as u say was also a HTC Desire HD when it First come out & this was a Good Fue Years back trus me & that's when it did the 7 Vibrating thing on every start up now & Right out the Blue as I can Member the day before it worked great & the way it was ment to, . ( not that I new that much about them then lol & I was using it as jus a kind of tablet at the time with no sim card init, so jus on Wi-Fi to get used to it before moving from my beats as it had a Bigger screen ) . But next day turned it on an its doing what yours is doing STILL EVEN NOW As I've still got it after over 10 Years as that's when it happened to my 1 my friend, . Plus I have to take out the battery to turn it off as it Not do it from the on/off button AT ALL, . ?
