Back Light is to Dark

Hi,

Your backlight is not working. Why did you have to change the screen to begin with?

Anyhow, to get you startedmquickly, try these steps in the following order:

1/ Hard reboot: press and hold power button + home button for ~12 seconds, then restart. If no change,

2/ Power cycle + reseat cables: remove the screen, disconnect the battery (do not remove it), press and hold power button for ~15 seconds, reconnect the battery; reseat the screen cables (as an added measure, you can clean the screen connectors on the board and the screen cables using a cotton swab dipped in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and air dry before reconnecting, but don't touch the screen with alcohol); restart and test.

3/ If the above doesn't help, try a new known good screen or use the old screen (if you still have it and/or it used to light normally). If another screen works properly, then the new screen you installed is defective.

4/ If a known good screen (your old screen or your new screen that you know for sure is working properly on a different phone) doesn't show back-light, then you have a hardware problem on the board.

5/ It could be pry damage = you broke something during the screen replacement. There is a black foil covering the components around the screen connectors. VERY CAREFULLY remove it and look underneath if for anything broken/damaged/part removed.

6/ It could be that the back-light circuit is damaged, due to an insulation problem on the screen that you used or some other mistake that damaged this circuit.
