How to switch out a broken USB port?

My son, has managed to destroy the USB port on the LeapPad2. He claims it was from sticking his headphones in the wrong hole. Anyway, it's shot and I was looking for guidance on how to replace it. It looks to be soldered into the motherboard. I have a new mini USB port, but am unsure how to proceed once I disassemble the console to the point it is accessible. I'd appreciate any help you can give.
