Firephone:Glass broken, display still working
Hi there, some days ago the glass of my firephone got broken,but display is still working without problems.is it somehow possible to remove/replace the glass?Thanks

I've tried to find a glass replacement but I can't find one. If you can get them it is possibly but I wouldn't recommend attempting to do it unless you have done this before

i got a glass with digitizer screen for amazon fire phone from ebay it was shipped to me in the uk from China, it took 3 weeks to come but i finally got it, the price was £54.00 free click the ebay link

Hi Edward, you don't wanna go their, when u open the phone up all the compoments are fixed to the glass and not the back like most screens, you have to strip the whole phone back, and while you do this you end up braking the camera cables, the 4 cameras and the front of the phone are stuck in with strong glue, i would not advise you to do it yourself, the phone i have is all in bits and i can't use it, i sent my new glass screen back and will get my £54 refund, i bought my fone new on ebay for £126, and now you can buy them new for £100, i'm just going to buy a new phone when i get my refund from the glass screen. i just hope i don't go through this crap again.

there are also Just digitizers on ebay, but they were all priced over this one with a display. Here is one from Chicago for a bit more.
To replace the glass you need to strip all the parts out of the phone because it is all attached to the glass and not the back of the phone. Amazon have been very naughty doing this. You just can't help but brake the camera cables while trying to dismantle it. Good look to anyone who who is manages to replace the glass, their is not any videos's on you tube to show how it is done. i would get someone who knows what they are doing , to fix the phone. i think it is just as cheap to cut your losses and buy a new phone, there pretty cheap these days cause no one is buying em.

thats naughty, you also go to replace all the camera's, if you replace the screen, that is something i didn't order when i got the glass.
