Garmin nuvi 2595LMT goes into USB mode when car charger is connected?
When I connect my Garmin GPS to a car charger it goes into USB Mass Storage mode and cannot be used. It does not charge in this mode either. How do I fixed that?

It likely the mini usb connector on the gps unit, not the cable connectors. I have a 2595lm and it doesn't matter what cable I use. I can reproduce the problem by lightly jiggling where the cable connects to the unit.

Okay, my partner had this issue with her sat nav when she connected a certain charger to it.
I worked out that the reason why this happened was because it wasnt the official charger. (worked out through trial and error).
Are you using a charger made for the sat-nav or a third party usb cord?

It may be charging but it may not look it. If after five mins of this charging it does not at least try to boot up and load maps when you give the startup button a single press the battery may be dead and need replacing.
