I just replaced the battery in my iphone 5. The new battery does not last any longer than the one I replaced. Running iOS 8 and have tried shutting the normal services off to save battery, but no luck. Would appreciate any help.

If battery is tray really bad a new battery is the same this could be a problem with the U2 component on the motherboard

Check background processes. Nuke them.
You can use iFile (Cydia program) to manage files.

Battery lasts only about 12 hours

if you are using phone and its lasting 12 hours id say thats pretty good
