Your problem is most likely caused by and called ITO Corrosion.

Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) is coated to the display circuit at the edge of the lower glass in that type of display.
The Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) is bonded to the ITO layer using what is called Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF)
- The best way to explain that is its a bit like double sided tape with tiny gold balls on it.
- When you squeeze it together the tiny balls connect the gold plated flex conductors electrically to the ITO plating on the glass
- The adhesive connects them physically together.
The N95 had no glass cover and so both the Driver Integrated Circuit (Driver IC) and the FPC were slightly more exposed and sensitive to transients in both Relative Temperature(RT) and Relative Humidity(RH)
- Under the correct conditions humidity can condense and as such start to corrode or oxidise conductors over time.
- eg. Taking something inside from the cold will cause condensation on the surface of most objects
- There are other related phenomenon which can occur called for example intermetalics , electro migration

It’s unlikely you will get that display running .
- There were 2 suppliers for that display device and it sold in big volumes
- You should find a spare part easily enough- try to avoid a used one.
- You can try rubbing along the Flex / Glass bond with a “dull” object Like the lid off a pen to manipulate a possible bonding fault connection.
