So i orderd a new digitizer and screen asembly from you guys because the old one was cracked and the digitizer was also unresponsive. I thought this would be a quick fix but it is completely unresponsive anywhere on the screen. I have restored it and still no luck. I have heard that it may be a defective touch screen but i really dont want to spend any more more money on it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What you have to do at first is to make sure the new LCD screen you bought is good one. (try on other touch 2).
If it's perfect one, you should take your device to check the FPC connector, to see if it's broken.

Well the lcd seems to function properly, lockes and unlocks and i can see the music selection if i double tap the home button (but cannot press the play skip forward or backward buttons or the volume slider), but the connector for the digitizer seems to be in working order, But i will take a closer look with a magnifying glass.

So i have found out that the digitizer works properly on another ipod. I also took apart the whole ipod and cleaned everything and put it back together. No luck. Any suggestions please?
