1 Where can I get my screen replaced?
My screen shattered. Where can I get it replaced? I live in Mt Pleasant, SC.

broke my screen today.
Took apart tablet using a credit type card starting opposite the power buttons.
Took out all 21 screws.
accidentally broke 2 of the wifi antenna wires. So be careful there.
Removed screen from STRONG adhesive attached to front bezel.
SCREEN IS MANUFACTURED IN MAINLAND CHINA.
INNOLUX N070ICN-GB1
Found several providers with google search. Cost PER SCREEN is ABOUT $35.00US.
Shipping from China to US is about $34.00.
DO IT YOURSELF REPAIRS COSTING ABOUT $75.00US = buy a new BETTER tablet.

Only valid answer here. I had a customer with one of these today, and I also just advised him to cut his losses or get a warranty repair, but who knows what his deductible will be. Don't cheap out on Tablets. Even if you get a previous generation Galaxy Tab or even an iPad2 or something, it's worth it. They'll hold together better, perform better, and the parts are WAY easier to find.
If you get an $80 tablet, a new screen is going to cost at least $30, and most places charge $40-50 for labor.

You can get a new screen for $19.99 including shipping. Not hard to install. You just need a small screw driver

Can you provide a bit of how to?
The cover snaps on and off. I started prying by the sd/simms card slot and worked around the tablet. Once the cover is off, remove all of the screws you can reach. The top layer of electronics is glued to the back of the display screen with a soft glue that sticks very well. I pried the top layer of electronics away enough to reach in with a fairly sharp knife and made light slices into the glue until the glue was released from the metal mesh that is against the back of the screen. After the glue is released you can reach the remaining screws. The screen is held to the clear outer screen by an adhesive but it isn't near as strong as the glue I talked about in the last step. Get the part number from the back of the screen to make sure you order the exact replacement. Take pictures as you go so when the new screen arrives you'll have reference in case you forget where something belongs. I used my pictures!
(The flat cables are held in place by a tiny hinged clamp. Before removing the cables use your fingernail or a knife to lift the clamp that is on the opposite side of where the cable is inserted. When you release the clamp it will be at a 90 degree angle from the flat cable.)

I don't know where the pictures I took are. I only took them after I took the back off. Use a screw driver to pry it open where the SD card goes in and slide a credit card or other stiff plastic around the seam. There is no glue needed.
Thank you for your quick response, I got it open and had removed the battery, today I went to Fry's electronics to buy a set of precision screwdriver set because the screws are so tiny. Will let you know what happens.

Can I pull the cracked screen off from the front or do I have to go from the back?

You have to remove the back.
I replaced the outer screen and put it all bak together. I can hear it working but can't see anything. What did I do wrong? Did I miss a step?
You may have forgotten to plug something in. Open the back and look at your pictures.

is the digitizer and LCD bonded together with LOCA? or are they separate?

I don't know what a digitizer or LOCA are. Just dig in. You'll need to do that to get the part number anyway.

I shattered mine as well and I live in Shelbyville just got it for my birthday 2 days ago. where can I get it replaced. my son dropped his as well and the screen is faded out really bad where can I get that fixed as well?
