What adhesive is used inside of an iPhone 5?

I do actually use 3M tape and it works great! However you have to make sure to get the right stuff. I use the 3M black adhesive that is as close to any manufacture adhesive as you can get. Check eBay, read reviews also trial and error is simply part of the process.

So, I purchased this to fix my boyfriend's cracked iPhone 5 back glass and it looks and feels great, however, the glass was a tad bit thinner than the original, so I had to use a couple layers of adhesive so it could lay flush with the surface, also the top glass didn't have a camera nor flash lens, but that wasn't a problem :-)This product also shipped pretty quickly, so I was super happy!

Goes right in. I had to replace both the top and the bottom glass. My top flash cover was intact so I just took out the one that comes with this set. The lens cover I needed so I left that there. Had to coax them in to get them to be nice and flush, but it was quite simple to do. Quality product!
