Hi, I got my iphone 5 screen replaced from a friend, and when I got the phone back my screen is very dull. I can hardly see the screen at all, it is useable on a night but I cant use it through the day as I cannot see the screen. I was just wondering, is this the backlight or will I need another screen replaced? thanks.

The brightness of the screen does not change when I try to turn it up or down

Make sure the screen brightness didn't get adjusted. If that is not the problem most likely its a defective LCD backlight and you will need to have it replaced again. Have your friend use the old screen to test this if it's posible.

Thanks for the replies, when I move the bar to turn my brightness up and down the screen brightness doesn't change unfortunately, my friend did try putting the other screen back on but because it was so smashed, the screen just didn't work at all so. But before the screen got removed, the brightness was fine even when it was smashed.
