Hi,
My friends home button stopped working so I replaced it, prior to this he complained that 'one side' of the loudspeaker wasn't working. After I completed the repair there's no sound at all coming from the phone, I even replaced the loudspeaker module with a new one and reset the phone but it's still not working. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Try checking the iPhone with head phones, if you hear sound then it is possible that the headphone jack needs to be cleaned. Also take a look at your dock connector on the logic board and make sure they are clean.

You might have to leave it into a repair centre so they can test it.. It could be possible you bought faulty parts

My bet is on dock connector

I have replaced the dock connector and there's still no sound. Sound can be heard when earphones are connected, the volume bar is visible and is moving up and down when the buttons are being pressed. So that's the speaker module replaced and the dock connector replaced - Could it be software?
