Screen replacement, white screen?

My mom cracked her screen a month ago and I ordered "LCD Display Screen and Glass Digitizer". I did everything on the guide, when I got the white screen...I took everything apart and made sure that everything was connected correctly and everything was, however...I still got the white screen. What else do I have to do? The screen is not stuck to the back part yet because I don't want to have to take it apart again if it's the connection issue...

A couple hard resets can often solve this very common problem, if not, the most likely candidate is a kink in the LCD cable--check that old screen (or another screen) lights up.
