Fan stick outward past ventilation?

Does part of the fan stick outward halfway in the ventilation area?

(right side of ps4, 2 inches back from ps4 logo between the ventilation groove.)

My guess is yes, it does stick out. From this pic: http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi...

But.. in this photo it is partially disassembled.
