rod, it all depends on what the message on the blue screen was. If you installed the OS while the hard drive was in another computer, you most likely have a hard ware conflict. Install the hard drive in your computer and then reinstall the OS. The blue screen is most likely not your computer hardware but your OS giving you issues.

no I tried safe mode, removed hard drive , installed on other computer,hard drive works fine on other computer,formated hard drive installed new windows 7 os, reinstalled in laptop, reboot, just about to start when blue screen came up? not good I think?
