couple of iPods not working, need opinions.
Hey guys,
I have a couple of iPods here with various faults & was hoping to get some expertise advice on what might be wrong...
- iPod Nano 5th Gen #1 ~
Faults: Will charge to 100% (says charging info) but will drain quickly (can see battery bar drop during use). Can power on without being connected to power sources (just battery)
Also, can't adjust brightness above 50%, doing so causes screen to flicker (during use). Setting brightness below 50% & have no issues.
Repair attempts: I have booted into 'Diagnostic mode' & attempted a 'reset', but didn't work.

~ iPod Nano 5th Gen #2 ~
Faults: Can only power on when connecting to PC, battery won't charge. pretty sure it's the battery.
Repair attempts: I have booted into 'Diagnostic mode' & attempted a 'reset', but didn't work.

~iPod Nano 6th Gen
Faults: Water damaged. Will charge (unknown charge status or %. Will power on after a little bit being on charge, however, only White screen shows.
Repair attempts: Stored in bag of rice for several days, helped a little, but not enough.
Q: I've read that it's generally an LCD issue, but how often would it be a component on the main board being faulty rather than the LCD ?

~iPod Touch 4th Gen~
Faults: No power from battery or connecting to a power source. Will not detect on PC.
Repair attempts: Have left on charge for few hours but no luck.
unknown if water damaged.
Physical condition on all devices is good.
Thanks again guys, any help/suggestions/opinions/feedback etc.. would be great.
I'll keep looking through the 'Answers' + 'Guides' section of this sight for more info. :)
Regards,

Thanks Jack :). Re: 6th Gen Nano, does anyone know if the damage was something other than the LCD, i.e. a chip or cable etc.., that was causing the White Screen fault ?
