waterdamage MacBook a1342 no jump start. help!
hey guys so ive followed all the steps online showing how to test and repair water damage a1342 macbook. i ahve searched everywhere and so far everyones macbooks has been fixed by jumpstarting it. (except mine haha)
the board its self looks flawless. i do not see any corrosion or damaged connectors.
i have completely removed and cleaned logic board and ram. no luck. i also replaced the ram from my MBP and still no response.
i was going to do a system management controller reset but unfortunately it will not power on to do so.
i have tested my power supply and it is working fine. charged my MBP no problem.
my next step was to try and jump start the unit. when i go to do this the fan fires up for a quick spin then shuts down before the laptop can fire. no harddrive or mac sounds. i have tried this with the laptop plugged in and running on just battery. i get the same fan spin for a second then fail. if i hold my bridged connection in the exact right spot the fan will continually run in 1 second boot intervals but not fire and continue running.
my next question would be what should i test next? i read about people testing components with a multimeter. i am not familiar on how to do this and would apprecaite any assistance you can give.
i really dont want to have to go out any purchase expensive parts before i have tested and exhausted all other options. i would really appreciate any help i can get on this issue thanks.
