I was emailing someone on my Mac when suddenly it just turned off. I didn't do anything, nothing popped up and said anything; it just quit. So I thought that maybe the battery died (even though I pulled it off the charger just over an hour ago), so I plugged it back up. Now the charger is blinking orange. You can barely see the flash. Nothing will make my laptop turn on.

Sounds like a battery problem. You could try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC).
If that doesn't work the second best fix is to unplug the charger, open the machine, unplug the battery, wait a minute, reconnect the battery and the charger then try the power button again. (I would not screw the case shut until I knew I had the problem fixed)
The third thing to try (since the case is open) is a new battery.

I got a question. I have a Dell Latitude D610, and for some reason, I'm having a whole lot of problems with it.
About 4 months ago, my brother gave it to me and said it was working fine. Not long afterwards, it started to periodically shut down, but all I had to do was pull it's plug, and reconnect, and it was back. It went completely down 7 weeks ago, with no hope of survival, I thought. Then, 3 weeks ago, I decided to mess with it one more time, and it came on.
Now, out of nowhere, it was getting hot so I shut it down to cool it off, but now, once again, it will not power up. It doesn't even get the green dot saying it's at least gerring power.
What am I not seeing, or doing, or what?
