How can I clone from one laptop to another? I have plugged the firewire cable into both laptops & the yellow Y comes on the one laptop when I hold down the "T" key, but the icon for the firewire does not show up on the laptop that I want to clone. Or the source hard drive. When I open "Disk Utility" it is in there but I can't do anything with it. It won't move.

Based on your question, make sure you are doing the following: 1) The target computer is powered off and the firewire is connecting the computers. 2) Immediately when you press the power key on the target computer press and hold the t until the display of the target shows the firewire icon.

Does the target computer have an OS installed?

Format or partition the destination disk with Disk Utility - then use RESTORE to clone the OS from the good book to the other drive.
