Replaced logic board, and trackpad(still not working/registering at all) and then bought new battery- NOW it turns on, chimes, spinning icon and looks like a loading bar starts and suddenly SHUTS OFF??? HELP.

The newer machines don't come with a DVD disk. Boot up holding down the "r" key to run a repair on the hard drive.

Held down 'r' on boot up-nothin. No F-key or command?
ok-used w/ command-we'll see....*fingers crossed* and thnx 4 tip ;)
okay- recurring issue w/ 250GB TOSHIBA MK2555GSXF Media-is that HD? Says cant repair= backup, and restore. ?
Probably just the ribbon connecting the hard drive to the logic board died and needs replacing.

Why did you replace the logic board and track pad? Sounds like damage to the HD, try booting from the Install Disk.

Logic board was bad, then trackpad didnt work so I also replaced but never worked so used mouse til this happened, thot must be battery so replaced that and takes a charge well, starts up, HD & fan start, apple spinning icon w/ load bar starts goin then just shuts off??

Also, have bought 2 of these and dont recall getting a Install disk-idk why I think that but gonna look feverishly.

Oh fyi~added mountain lion right before last issue also.....had snow leopard.
