Replace IO Board / Broken USB Ports - Not sure on model

Hello,

I have dropped my laptop with USB items plugged in and I assume it has snapped them from the IO Board.

I believe this: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP544

Is my laptop, however, I'm not sure on the model number because it has faded away from the bottom of the mac. I need to find the correct part (replacement IO board with 2 usb ports) before I can order a replacement obviously, and this is where I am stuck, can anyone tell me the Model number my laptop is likely to be?!?!

I think it is MacBook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53 GHz Mid 2009 This device as it is 15 inch with the 2.53ghz processor. Where do I find replacement USB port board for this? I have looked under parts and can't find it.

This could be one of a couple of machines. Boot it uo > go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to "about this mac" > more info. Under hardware > second line up from the bottom of the list is your serial number. Give us the last three figures of it and we can tell you your exact machine and get you to the correct logic board. If it can't be repaired, Apple will do a flat rates replacement of the logic board for about $280 plus shipping.
