iPod will not charge

I have a white ipod classic click wheel which got a new battery not that long ago. Great! Until I ran out of battery and no new Apple chargers will charge this one. I have scoured the net to find only newer charging wires that do not charge this, despite thier advertisements that they do. Any help to locate a charger built for this older model would be great.

Any Apple charger should do. I am inclined to think that you may have other issues. Check the dock connector on the bottom of the iPod for broken, bend or corroded pins. You did not tell us if the battery has been charged before and if it held a charge. Just because it got replaced does not mean that it is absolutely new. Some more information may shed some light on that. Also, remember that this model iPod has a significant design flaw when it comes to the battery connector. It does have a tendency of coming off the board.
