I can't get an answer to this question from anywhere. But after I replace a screen and put it all back together I boot the device and everything is good. Only if i put a little presure on the screen it has this color warp effect for a few seconds. As if the LCD is being squeezed. A factory iPhone does not do this. Is it cheap parts or is there a better reason? How can I avoid this?

A stupid question maybe, but did you remove the protective film on the back of the new display?
The most common cause of this issue is that the replacement glass is of poorer quality and a bit softer than the original, so it flexes when pressurized. This causes the back of the LED-display to get squeezed between the glass and the metal plate housing.

That's what I was suspecting. I tried to be cheap and get the screens off eBay but for the most part they are garbage. Ill keep ordering from my good supplier. And I did remove the film!

I have been having this issue also regardless of the supplier. I am thinking it has to do with adhesive thickness being to thin which allows the glass to rest directly on top of the LCD.
I don't know the specs but I am pretty sure there should be some clearance between th glass and LCD. Most likely measure in micro inches.
Thoughts?

You goons keep ripping off the foam between proximity and light sensor and blame others for your mistakes. Put a barrier between this two, so they won't interfere......problem solved.

Here is your problem right here .
Remove battery and removed all adesive holding the battery in place either on the frame and the battery itself.. Also make sure the battery has not been bent or dented when it was removed if so give it a little straighing up.. Now install battery and no more pressure marks..
The cause of this is when the back cover is replace and the battery it bent or adesives making the battery sit up further the back cover makes it press hard on the inside of the lcd
