Remove Existing Joystick Solder

I am trying to replace the joystick due to it sticking/stick drift; however, I cannot remove the existing solder.  Does anyone have any tips or am I doing it wrong?  I also believe I've burnt the circuit board but luckily this is a practice one.[br]
