Dremel 4000: Dremel 4000 Speed control replacement

Hi, I used my 220V Dremel 4000 in the US with any problems for years using a power voltage converter (110V to 220V). A few days ago the speed Dremel started being “weird” I mean it wasn’t consistent with the selected speed. Then a small pop and stopped working. I think the problem is the speed control but here in the US I can only find the 110V version of the speed control. If I use it as replacement will the tool work? Should I attach it to the 110V outlet then?

Dremel 4000: Why is my Dremel losing power and eventually dying?

I've had my Dremel for 4 years so maybe it's just wear and tear. But when I use it, it sounds like it starts to lose power, almost like I'm turning it on and off really fast and lowering the power intensity, live revving the engine of a car. Eventually it just dies. There's also small sparks that can be seen inside the motor.

If I leave it alone for a while, it works again just fine for a couple of minutes but then it does it again. Is this fixable? Obviously I don't want to use it anymore but I also want to know if I can fix it before buying another one or if buying a new one is more affordable. Thanks in advance.

Dremel MultiPro 395: Will somewhat run if the brush caps are squeezed together, how to fix?

So my multi-pro only runs intermittently if I squeeze the brush caps together, how do I fix this? Do the brushes need to be replaced? What do I need to check?

Dremel 3000: Rotary tool no longer spinning

My Dremel had the accursed "broken lock shaft piece" which in itself is super easy to actually fix, but now I have a new problem. I put it all back together and it's not rotating anymore. I must have put something together wrong but it looks right. Is there a minor detail in putting the parts back in that I'm missing?

Dremel MultiPro 395: Dremel 3000 will only work when pressing side lid

Hello!

We have a dremel 3000, which is similar to the Multipro 395 because both have a plastic lid with an inner thread that pushes a copper coil.

Our lid is loose and thus, the coil does not make proper contact with the metal piece inside. When we push with a finger it works well. Any idea on how to fix that ?

I think this is a similar problem and this a solution, right?
However, they do not specify how to dissasembly to Dremel, any help?

We opened it and found out that a metal piece had broken

We added a small metal piece to ensure contact is made and it works!

Dremel 4000: Dremel is varying in rotation, even if it should hold constant speed.

Dremel is set to (any) constant speed, but it varies in rotation speed when turned on. (Going faster and slower when speed dial is not touched at all)

If I hold the device tightly in vertical position, the varying speed seems to be fixed.

I’m not sure how trouble shoot this, or which part to replace.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Dremel 4000: Loose Wire Need Connection Point

My husband used my dremel to cut drywall. I’m sorry, ex-husband…. I took the tool apart and cleaned out as much as I felt was safe to do, but there is a wire loose that I can’t find the connection for. It’s a blue wire coming from the small board behind the speed adjustment. There is a brass “U” shaped hook on the end. Where does it hook to?

Hi all, my Dremel 3000 has stopped working and I assumed that because I was using it to cut small bolts and it was taking a while it had simply overheated or blown a fuse. Fuse in the plug (UK) is fine and nothing looks burnt out inside.

Based on other people's problems I suspect it's the switch that's failed but I'm not sure I'm testing it properly. I've got continuity in some bits but not others but I don't know if that's because it's faulty or because I'm doing it wrong. Can anyone talk me through how to test the switch correctly and what reading I should expect? Should I be getting 0 resistance or is a certain level ok? Just want to make absolutely sure it is the switch before I buy a new one.

Dremel 4250

The motor fails to start sometimes, making the typical buzzing noise, and when it starts (it does if I rotate the armature by hand) it runs slowly, with noise and the field heats up very quickly.

I’ve checked the wirings of both the armature and field and seem to be OK. The bearings move smoothly with no noise at all. The bushes are almost new. So I’m lost as to what can be failing. Any ideas?

Dremel lite 7760: Replacing the micro-usb port for charging

Someone used my dremel and upon attempting to plug it in they managed to completely break the charging port, pushing it into the dremel entirely.

I resoldered it where I'm 98% sure it needs to go but I'm not certain the backside is correct to.

Are there supposed to be pin-like pieces on the back that touch other contacts?

A diagram or any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I bought a dremel 4000 that fits 120V and 60Htz, while in my country we are using 220V and 50Htz.
Once I received it I was excited and connected it to the 220V, so I corrupted it.

My questions are:
1. Can I replace the speed control with one that works with 220v and 50Htz without affecting the other parts?
2. What is the part number of teh speed control that fits 220v and 50Htz?

your site lacked an option for what i have, i dont have the tool i had to pic because my dead tool isnt listed and there was no general option, i have a mini routern that has a dead motor, its one of those you might see in a micromark catalog but i didnt get it from them, it was bought when craftsman was selling them in 2002, i tried to get it apart, but i think a bearing is preventing me getting the motor out so i can see what motor i need, what the bearing is in is a plastic component. i attempted to upload pics, dont know if they show up

Had to fix the igniter on my 2200 torch. During disassembly the metal bracket and spring popped out before I could take a look and I can't quite figure out how to reassemble. Does anyone have an assembly drawing or pictures?
