"HDD not recognized with new HD cable?"に関する回答that hard drive, does it have a partition table yet? As I stated previously you will likely need to upgrade some firmware. Here is a link pertaining to this situation: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2434 Hopefully this will resolve this once and for all. You might have to install it in the other MacBook temporarily so you can use it's disk utility to format the new drive for GUID partition table, otherwise firmware update won't work. Let us know how this pans out for you.
"Will not hold a charge or turn on without being plugged in?"に関する回答My girlfriend had a HP laptop with the same issues. What I determined happend was she had a bad habbit of walking around with it, while it was plugged in and not supporting the plug. The power supply plug, eventually broke a wire, so it would power the computer, but becuase the battery never received a charge it died. Replaced teh battery, same issue until i discoverd the issue was the power supply. I rebuilt it. Now in your case you've replaced both, leading me to beleive same scenario has occured, only the problem is with the jack in the side of your computer. probably got jared hard enough at one point that may have broke a solder joint. One other thing you might consider is replacing the cmos battery (looks like a watch battery)
"Why is it overheating?"に関する回答cooling fans have likely failed. take it apart, plug it in see if the fans attempt to spin, very likely it's caked with dust. vacuum it out, make sure the fans spin should be ok.
"Why does my 1988 Toyota keep overheating?"に関する回答Are we sure it's overheating? You could possibly have a bad temperature sending unit. use an ohm meter, the sending unit should read from 0-5 volts, 0 at cold, 5v is overheat. so if that motor is barely warm but it's showing 5 volts the sensors bad. If it's actually running like it's overheating, and your sure it is, try retarding the timing if it seems like it's worse, then advance the timing. Easy to do, losen the holddown clamp on the distributor, enough so you can turn the distributor counter clockwise and clockwise while it's running. if the timing is too advanced it causes a lean condition, which will overheat it. as you turn the distributor back and forth, one way will cause engine speed to increase, the other will slow it down. Find a spot where the idle is reasonable around 5-700rpm tight the distributor and try it. I would say use a timing light, but since I also experienced this problem on mine, when it was timed according to spec it would run hardly, probably because the distributor was a tooth...
"Changed 5 speed tran but will not do anything why?"に関する回答I'm assuming he means the neutral safety switch. So it won't turn over? or won't start? I'm guessing you are pushing the clutch down when trying it? First be sure your battery has a full charge, if it does, and you turn the key and motor doesn't attempt to start, check the fuse box. test every single fuse, I had a '92 toyota truck that did the same thing to me. Since you swaped the tranny out, did you remember to connect the chassy ground to the engine block? try to give us as many details as you can, like if the motor turns over or not, verify the battery is full charged, don't just turn on the headlights and assume it's ok.
"HDD not recognized with new HD cable?"に関する回答reseat your hard drive make sure connections are fully seated., if you hear the drive spinning that's good. Does this mac have a BIOS setup? it's possible that your bios firmware doesn't support features on this drive. usually you can upgrade the firmware (get it from apple) but before you do that, take that hard drive out, and try it in another computer, doesn't matter if it's pc or mac. See if the other computer detects it, if it doesn't the drive is dead. If it does work in another computer, the issue is definitely with the mac-book, that's when I'd check on bios firmware updates. Nothing looks broke from the pictures, if you can show bios setup pictures it would help but I suspect you have a bad hard drive. Just because it's a new drive, doesn't mean the guy at best buy didn't accidentally drop it before you got it. :)
"How to remove bios password"に関する回答Wow everybody wants to get so complicated re-flashing EPROMs and what not before they have all the facts. Has anybody considered the hard drive, SATA has been password locked? If that's the case, toss the drive and install a new one. Don't waste your time trying to hack your way in, unless there is a very specific reason you want access to that data if that's the case hire a forensics team to recover the drive. Its really not that complicated. If it's bios lockout, pull the batterys for half an hour. if it's not a windows lockout, then it's a sata pw lockout.
"Can't get in to computer"に関する回答Well since nobody can confirm which password was lost, I'll have to assume it was windows. reboot the computer, after the toshiba screen goes away begin tapping F8 key. You will get a list of options, choose safe mode with networking. It should bring up the user screen, showing your account, and Administrator. Login as administrator first try with no password, but it's probably gonna prompt you for a password, try all your normal passwords. One of them is the one you put in when the computer was first setup, it prompted you to set an admin password. And you haven't used that account since which is why it's unfamiliar. Since this is a brand new computer, I assume you probably don't have much personal data on it, ie pictures etc.. worst case scenario have toshiba walk you through reinstalling windows. It's not hard and you can't mess it up, infact it should be automated but it can be fixed.
"PS3 saying hard drive is corrupt"に関する回答I don't believe you can format that drive in a PC, they usually lock them, in fact the drive is setup as master 0 drive, you will likely mess up the master boot record on your pc, then you will have a inoperable pc and no ps3. If the drive is corrupt, it's likely it's soon to fail. I would uninstall it, don't toss it though, I'm sure ps3 has a special cable you can use to transfer data from the old drive to the new one. I'm not sure on the ps3, but I know the xbox 360 will run without a hard drive you just can't save your games. That would atleast allow you to play until you can find a replacement drive on ebay or amazon.
"only power LED lit & dim?"に関する回答It's the wallwart power adapter. I've had 3 of these fail, they are not switching power supplies like the more modern ones. Basically just a big fat coil, 4 diodes and a capacitor (bridge regulator converts ac to dc) they run hot and fail especially when you plug/unplug/plug because that type of adapter uses a big coil for the ac side, when you unplug it's load, it causes a magnetic field to collapse causing a small surge in the adapter which just wears out the diodes and the coil eventually just fails. The router itself is fine, you can safely run another 12v 1amp adapter, I ran one on a 12v 3amp just fine. Router has built in voltage regulator, it won't consume then it needs.
