The video is very good although there are a few things that in my mind could be a lot better, first is the availability to view the removal of the Mainboard in Full-screen mode to make it easier to see what is being used and the detail of the board as well. The other is that I use a Fix-it organisation tray for all the screws and bits that come out of the device I’m stripping down, os that I can put the bits back into the device in the reverse order they came out, but in this video that doesn’t happen and the screws start to go back in totally differently, so please if you're going to do this then put the items back in the order they were taken out, and point things like different size screws etc, otherwise, this was helpful, if a little confusing.
The small black piece is part of the front facing camera housing, can I also point out to make sure that you remove the clear plastic camera lens housing from the old screen too, and make sure that this and the small rubber housing are placed onto the new screen as these are what hold the lens, the microphone and the ambient light in place. There maybe a small amount of glue around the lens housing which needs to be removed with a sharp blade, please take care when doing this.
I have found that its better to put more than one pick down the side of the screen to keep it open and prevent it from sticking back down.
Completed this guide thank you. Just want to point out that there are two cables for the iPad 2, making sure that you have the right one is very important. Be very careful around the camera area of the iPad too this is very tricky and there are no pictures of this part, wish I had done some now to upload for others, but I'm sure that I'll have another to do before to long and I will then. One main tip... Don't stick anything down till you've got everything secure as removing the the tape is very tricky once stuck and you don't want to be replacing this again...
