Hi! My name is Liv and I am a Junior Communications major with a focus in PR along with a double minor in WRTC and British Communications and Media at James Madison University.
I have loved writing since I was younger, so when I came to college I was eager to choose a major that would allow me to let me turn my passion of writing into a career. I have no definite plans post graduation currently, however my aspirations are to one day to do strategic communication on political campaigns in Washington D.C.
When it comes to repairing, I have not had an extreme amount of experience. My step mom is in the house flipping business, so there are a few projects that I have helped on since things tend to need repairing in houses over 100 years old. I have helped repair walls, hardwood flooring, and windows here and there. In highschool, I was very involved in my theatre department. My senior year, I was one of the tech leaders where I assisted in creating sets for the plays and musicals we had each semester. One of my accomplishments from this was constructing and planning the clock tower for our spring musical of Cinderella.
Although I have do not have extensive experience in repairing, one thing that has always seemed interesting to me in repairing is cell phones. I am a very clumsy person, so I have had my fair share of breaking phone screens on accident. I feel it would be helpful to learn how to repair them on my own since it has happened to me a lot.
I am eager to work with Ifixit on this project as I feel it will help better my writing skills, offer me professional experience writing and allow me to learn more about repairing!
