I believe it would be. I disconnected the display of my 2DS XL for an experiment, and the device wouldn’t boot at all. I think it needs to find all the correct hardware to boot, so 3DS/2DS clones can’t run the same software. Was there any magic smoke? Did you hear/see something crackle inside when you plugged it in? Was there a bad smell? If you’re daring enough, unplug the machine (If you haven’t already!) and pop it open. Take visual of the boards: if there’s anything that’s burnt or smells bad, or something out of place, something most likely failed. Locate the power board. Usually the external AC cable plugs into this, and there’s probably a giant transformer on the board. Somewhere on there should be (hopefully) a fuse plug, and a fuse that is blown. Pop that bad boy out, take it to the hardware store, and find a 120V replacement. After that, find a 220 to 110 V converter, plug the fuse in, and see if the machine works. Good luck, dear.

Acoustics are what make them loud. Plus quality speakers and powerful drivers. Think about the iPhones. They’re loud, even though the speaker’s about the size of a EarPod. How does this work? Apple’s reflecting the audio through a special chamber to make it louder without damaging the speaker.

Seems like a broken board. I think there may be a short inside the CPU, which would explain why it’s getting hot and not booting. You may have to replace the main board.

Have you checked the partitions on the drive? Sometimes it could be trying to install to a “Recovery Partition” that some devices make, which usually is around ~500 MB. If you have another computer, pop the drive out, plug it in, and try reformatting to reclaim all of the drive space. (Use Disk Management) Or, you could just pop into Disk Utility on the install to see if the thing’s being recognized in the first place/make a new partition. Have you signed into any other devices, i.e another person’s laptop or phone? Could be their search history showing up on your account if you didn’t sign out. Could also be random google suggestions, or what’s “trending”. I didn’t ever think that incest would show up in a popular Google search but there’s something new every day. Also try running a malware scanner. I suggest MalwareBytes, just to make sure that there’s no spyware or a Remote Access trojan/virus. Plus, it’ll fix other problems too!

Did he check the balance shafts? They could be slightly out of alignment, and so shake the engine when starting up, but get re-aligned as you rev it. Try also checking the timing, fluids, and electrical, just to be sure. Good luck!
